Wartook Valley: The Grampians

 

Spring has arrived, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the kangaroos are hopping and the Wartook Valley is blossoming.  If there is ever a time to visit the Grampians it has to be Spring. 

 

The Wartook Valley has some of the best the Grampians has to offer.  Situated on the North Western side of the Grampians National Park, 40 minutes drive from Halls Gap or Horsham, the Wartook Valley incorporates the districts of Dadswells Bridge, Mount Zero, Laharum, Brimpaen, Roses Gap and Wartook.  The Valley has a wide range of activities to suit the adventurous, wildlife and bird enthusiasts and the artistic.  The region is a perfect getaway for the family, for well earned rest and relaxation or for a secluded romantic weekend away. 

 

There is plenty of activities to do, beautiful scenery and wildlife to see in the Valley.  For those expecting to see a blackend Grampians due to the bushfire in January, you will be pleasantly surprised to see that park is teaming with life.  It won't be long before the Grampians is back to it's former glory, perhaps even more spectacular than before with rare species of plants and flowers emerging from the fire and interesting rock formations previously hidden by dense foliage.
